I am in the process of making a TFTP server/client.
There is this thing where packets are transfered, which can have data in netascii or octet. This is new to me. What is the difference?
Are there different InputStreams to read files in netascii or octet?
Right now I am using BuffedInputStream to read data from files. Is there a Input stream which will allow you to read as netascii, or allow you to read as octet?
First you're going to have to explain to us what "netascii" and "octet" are. Those appear to be TFTP jargon which don't have anything to do with Java Programming, so you shouldn't expect people here to understand them. But if you explain them, there's a good chance we can suggest an answer to your question about input streams.
I dont know either. This is new to me.
I looked around a bit, and ascii is where a file is read as ascii.
in octet, the file is read as 8-bits.
is there some sort of over head while reading ascii?
any input streams that reads a file as ascii, and another that reads as 8-bit.
