I am looking for a book that covers Annotations well including writing custom annotation processors that also handles generics.

I assume you're talking about [this book|http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/9780596527754/index.html]. I don't know of a book that covers annotations in any depth--in fact, most books barely mention them. Unlike generics, we have the option of ignoring annotations, and it seems most of us are embracing that option. :P You might want to download and study the source code of Guice and JUnit, two projects that seem to have made good use of annotations. Also, here's an article demonstrating an interesting application of them.
