Huh? Local directory? Default directory?
"client.retrieveFileStream("file i need to download");"?
Im not sure what isnt clear.
When I log on to the FTP server with my specific username, I start in directory assigned to me, lets say \usr\Myname
Lets say I want to download myfile.txt
client.retrieveFileStream("myfile.txt") works great.
But the problem I have is myfile.txt is not located in \usr\Myname
Its in \data\www\html\
using client.retrieveFileStream("\data\www\html\myfile.txt") does not work
how do i navigate to this directory?
If this is the Apache Commons/Net FTPClient implementation then what's wrong with the changeWorkingDirectory() method? As for your idea of
that might work better if you used slashes instead of backslashes, or if you escaped the backslashes properly.
cwd() worked well. Thank you.
