TLS 1.2 support for JSSE

818985Dec 23 2010 — edited Jan 12 2011
I've notied that openjdk 7 now support TLS 1.2 which uses SHA-2 instead of SHA-1.

Are there any plans to support TLS 1.2 under Oracle JRE/JSSE?

Thanks

Edit:
I've had a reply on this previously under a different post saying it is under consideration, any update on this?

Hi,

i am not an expert, what i can say is that "waived" extended support will end in December 2018 (where you can download this quarter PSU for 11.2.0.4) ....you must review your contract with Oracle to see how can you move forward.

in all cases i strongly advice you to start upgrading to 12cR2 (12cR1 extended waived so far will end July 2019) unless you have off-the-shelf applications that is restricting you from upgrading.

Good Luck,

Regards,
