In MOS said:
Solaris 10 on SPARC only 22.214.171.124.0
Solaris 10 on x86-64 126.96.36.199.0 >= and <= 10.2.0.1.0
we are currently Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Solaris 10 ( x86-64) with Sun Cluster 3.2
Want to upgrade to 188.8.131.52 - do we have to upgrade to Sun Cluster 3.3 ?
I suggest you contact Oracle Support for details.
On matrix certification Sun Cluster version 3.3 does not even appear. Only versions 3.2 , 3.1 and 3.0.
Check Note below..
*Grid Infrastructure 11.2 Installation - Software Requirements Lists For Sun Cluster [ID 1086233.1]*
We are currently on Oracle 10.2.0.5 on Solaris 10U9 (x86_64) & Sun Cluster 3.2U1
We need to upgrade to 11gR2
We do NOT use RAC
The MOS Certification Matrix does not clearly certify “Oracle DB” on “Sun Cluster 3.x” . Instead it shows “Oracle Real Application Clusters”
I believe we should be able to upgrade to Oracle 184.108.40.206.x on Sun Cluster 3.2U3
Can we get some clarification here ?
Yes Sun Cluster 3.2 is certified against 220.127.116.11 . Generally if it's certified for RAC it means certified for DB
But if you'd like to have more relief answer then open new SR
Hope it helps
