Can any one please let me know the GSD service in Oracle 10g RAC.
After gone through some docs I'm conofused... For example, Below comments I've read from Burlesaon Oracle-dba blog of Oracle 10g RAC Administration.
For the SRVCTL to function, the Global Services Daemon (GSD) should be running on the node.
The GSD daemon has been replaced with the CRS in Oracle Database 10g.
Which one is true, If GSD is replaced with CRS then what is the necessity to have GSD service run in the nodes.....?
If GSD is replaced with CRSCan you please more clear view on this?

Ofcourse I could read metalink notes of ID 429966.1.
But still I could see some of the docs are saying that GSD should run on each node for serice SRVCTL and so.... in Oracle 10g
