I'd like to use flar for recovery porpouse but in my test I noticed that when I create a flar archive excluding all non opearing system filesystem and I reinstall from this archive it dos'nt create de mount point of the excluded filesystem, and it creates a new /etc/system and I lost all the parameters setting of the old one.
I wonder if flar was just created for clonning porpuse and if you want to recover use ufsdump.
hpux admind use ignite backup to recover and they don't have to take care about nothing because the system restore to the point it was at the backup time.
Does solaris have a tool to recover like hpoux ignite ?
