For a project I am doing a Steganography using audio files, which means hiding a text in an audio file.
I want to retrieve the value of the bytes of a wav file so I can edit edit them, but after retrieving the data bytes of the wav file, when i print them it prints out gibberish.
When i read about wav files and its structure I got to this page:
In that page it shows the data subchunck and the data value in hex, therefor I expected that it would show the data value in hex (or binary) when I printed it in Java.
Instead when I print the data it shows it like this: ?‚h?O‹?ֲת¨?תLל?Y›ֹװx?Eˆ?ְֲ,¿?ncתr?
Is that how the does is supposed to be displayed?
I would appreciate an explanation if my expectations on how the data is supposed to be displayed were wrong or, if not, why it displays the data in gibberish.
