          Hi,
If you are doing single user installation please make sure you run xhost + command from ROOT.
Also please make sure you have latest RAPIDWIZ patch before running RAPIDWIZ.

Please see if any files are created under /tmp folder.

          thanks,
          Taher

I am running rapidwiz on server itself. I ran it before successfully.
I dont know why it is not running now,.

I do have the latest version for rapidwiz
There are no files in /tmp related to rapizwiz

            regards,

              Hi,
Please try to use the following command

              #sh -x rapidwiz.sh

As what user you run RapidWiz? Can you see the clock if you issue "xclock" as the same user?

                Thanks,
                Hussein

                  When I run
                  sh -x rapidwiz.sh
It throws and error no such file or directory

and when I run the same sh -x rapidwiz.sh
from root user. it gives some java error...

I am running rapidwiz from oracle user..
and I have checked the permissions with oracle

                    Hi,
If you are running rapidwiz from oracle user on the server it self, even then you should run xhost + as root user.

Some times it takes more time to start the GUI, so please grep for any running rapidwiz programs

                    $ps -ef|grep -i rapid

                    Thanks,
                    Taher

from root user. it gives some java error...
                      What is the error?

Have you issued "xclock" to verify if the issue with the display or not?

                      Thanks,

                            Dear hsawwan

Tried all the three docs, still the same issue continued.

                            Thanks,

Please run md5sum as per (MD5 Checksums for R12.1.1 Rapid Install Media [ID 802195.1]) to verify the integrity of the stage area directory.

I started the process again. I face the same error
I think there is a minor mistake.

                                  is my etc/hosts right

                                  [oracle@pac u01]$ more /etc/hosts
                                  # Do not remove the following line, or various programs

                                    Did you run md5sum?

For your hosts file, please see the installation docs for the correct format.
