Given that pl/sql block, there is nothing else to report, you just raise a generic exception. Try something more like:
or, if you really want the e
begin raise_application_error(-20001, 'Something bad happened'); end;
declare x exception; begin raise e; exception when e then raise_application_error(-20001, 'E happened'); end;
Hmm, I guees it would be raise_application_error(-20101,'message');

Is there a way to get more information about the exception?No. The named exception is out of scope once you exit the block.
