          Fix it like below

          IMP OGUBS/OGUBS177@XE  FULL=Y FILE=d14042011.dmp;

          OR

          IMP OGUBS/OGUBS177@XE  FILE=d14042011.dmp FROMUSER=OLD_USER  TOUSER=OGUBS

          Don't forget to use the same commands:

          SET ORACLE_SID=XE
          and change to the desktop path

          :)

                  I think you're totally misunderstood about import, See below example & then you will get a idea...

                  SQL> create user ogubs identified by ogubs;

                  User created.

                  SQL> grant connect,resource,dba to ogubs;

                  Grant succeeded.

                  SQL> conn ogubs/ogubs;
                  Connected.
                  SQL> create table a(emp varchar2(20));

                  Table created.

                  SQL> insert into a values('azar');

                  1 row created.

                  SQL> commit;

                  Commit complete.

                  SQL> $exp ogubs/ogubs file=d:\temp\azar.dmp direct=y consistent=y statistics='none'

                    Also remember, That the traditional exp/imp is not supported by Oracle any more from 11g, so try to learn datapump instead, since the traditional exp/imp will disappear one day!

                      Hi azar thanks for your example for me. thank you very much. I did your example for import,export. It work I understood export and import. And work succesfully.

                      But my dmp file is taken another machine so ı will import my machine. İt is 330 MB size dump file. And My instructor say that
                      firstly you must create INDX and USER tablespaces
                      then
                      you must create OGUBS users as DBA.
                      then
                      import it.
                      I tried all of your suggestions but always user doesnt exist error. whereas OGUBS user is exist.

                        ı try above and all of suggestions . my dump file is error? or it has 330mb size. is it big file for import ı couldnt solve it

                          Export dumpfile is taken by as same username or anyother username? & also you always put your dumpfile in local disk path and not in desktop.

                          You can use same command to import If this dumpfile took by the same username(ogubs). , It should be working, you just try. If you cann't, post your import error command, We will help you. :)

                            OK let's make ALL the steps clear:

                            1- From where you performed the export of the dumpfile, please post the hostname and the oracle sid?
                            2- The export dump was taken by the user OGUBS?
                            3- FRom where you are performing the import of the dumpfile, please post the hostname and the Oracle SID?
                            4- In the destination Oracle SID, from where you are taking the import, theres is a user OGUBS created? check and post the result of DBA_USERS query you did before?

                            Let's make all clear and then we will solve the issue :)

                              This is my senior project. If ı import dump file, i will do datamining :) My instructor gave d14042011.dmp file to me. He exported dump file from his machine. And he gave
                              tnsnames.ora file for access remote.

                              He said that firstly "you must create INDX ,USERS tablespace."
                              secondly "you must create OGUBS users as DBA."
                              then
                              ı did
                              IMP OGUBS/OGUBS177@XE FILE=D:\d14042011.dmp FULL=Y;

                              finishes as code
                               .importing WKSYS's objects into WKSYS
                              "ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA= "WKSYS""
                              MP-00003: ORACLE error 1435 encountered
                              RA-01435: user does not exist
                              MP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully.

                              Now I answer your questions orawiss.
                              1-my instructor exported dmp file on his machine and gave tnsnames.ora file for access remote. In tnsnames.ora has
                              testogu =

                                  )

                                )
                              2-yes The export dump was taken by the user OGUBS.

                              3- I am performing the import of the dumpfile, my hostname=esra oracle sıd= XE
                              4- ı created OGUBS user . Yes I created it :)

                              I hope you will help me ... where is my fault ?
                              where is my missing ?
