    Oracle 11G XE Non Unicode?

Is there a plan for Oracle 11G XE Non Unicode like it was in 10G XE?
Or, is it possible to change the default character set to non unicode?

      Best regards

As the [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17781_01/install.112/e18803/toc.htm#XEINW138]Installation Guides ch. 9 mentions that XE is "available only in Universal character set", it would seem unlikely such a plan exists. One reason might be consistent support of translated versions of Apex and applications.

How come you are thinking of changing the database character set to non unicode?

XE 11 will be only unicode. Just curious why would you not want unicode?

For my use I need another charset because our main database is non unicode and we wanted to use Oracle Express with replication(updatable materialized views).
There comes trouble with sizes of varchars etc...

Unfortunately, you will need to restrict your replicated data to never exceed 1333 characters for the replication to work without "value too long" issues. For longer strings, you can implement special processing, like replicating to CLOB or automatically truncating data to 4000 bytes. Switching your schema to character length semantics may ease some of the implementation burden.
