          To be able to connect by "sqlplus / as sysdba", you need to set ORACLE_SID=<yourdbname>

          $ set ORACLE_SID=XXXX; export ORACLE_SID
          $ sqlplus / as sysdba

            By the way, about listener...

            If your DB is up, you'll see it when you connected by sqlplus, then I recommend you to re-create your listener. It's easy with netca (Network Configuration Assistant): http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/NetCA

            If your DB is down, startup the DB instance, and then issue the following commands on sqlplus:
            alter system register;
            Then exit from sqlplus and check the listener again. If it still shows no services, re-create the listener. :)

            Best Regards,

            Gokhan

              Re-creating the listener probably will not fix this issue. If the ALTER SYSTEM REGISTER doesn't get the instance registered, then there is a disconnect between the listener config and the instance's LOCAL_LISTENER parameter. From what the OP showed, I see nothing amiss about the listener itself.

              Gokhan
