              hi

choose the Disk1 and then issue the following command and post the result here.
[oracle@localhost~]$cd disk1 and then issue this command ls
the following example for 9i and as well as you can follow for 10g ..
              1. Create three groups:
orainstall is used to install the software (i.e.,
will own the Oracle Universal Installer's oraInventory directory.
oradba is the group used by the database administrator,
              oraoper is the management group.

              # whoami
              root
              # groupadd orainstall
              # groupadd oradba
              # groupadd oraoper

              2. Create the oradev user account that runs the installation
with primary group orainstall and secondary groups oradba and oraoper.

              # useradd oradev -g orainstall -G oradba,oraoper
              # passwd oradev

                  hi

did you create directory as u03?
                  # mkdir /u03
                  # chown oradev.oradba /u03
                  # chmod 755 /u03
and did you create users account?
                  2. Create the oradev user account that runs the installation
with primary group orainstall and secondary groups oradba and oraoper.

                  # useradd oradev -g orainstall -G oradba,oraoper
                  # passwd oradev
                  Changing password for user oradev
                  New UNIX password:
                  Retype new UNIX password:
                  passwd: all authentication
                  tokens updated successfully
and for environment variables you have to modify the bash_profile.
                  something like this.
                  $ vi .bash_profile
and then add the path of Oracle_home.

                            hi,
I think you still need the links.

You can download it from OTN, for windows:

                            http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/developer-suite/downloads/101202winsoft-087370.html

there are two links Disk1 & Disk2, I burned both CD after download and everything works fine.

                            For linux:
                            http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/developer-suite/downloads/101202linuxsoft-099233.html
                            Directions
To extract the cpio file, move the cpio file to an empty directory, then do: cat filename.cpio | cpio -icd

                            Hope it helps.

                            Toga.
