                    This is dangerous... the OP can destroy his database doing this. The root cause is still unknown and such advise is very much premature and ill-advised.

                    The very FIRST thing with such advice anyway, should be DO A PHYSICAL BACKUP OF THE DATABASE BEFORE STARTING TO MESS AROUND.

                        It is very simple

                        set ORACLE_SID=<YOUR SID>
                        sqlplus sys/syspass as sysdba
                        startup mount;
                        recover database;
                        alter database open;

                        First you need to analyze what the problem is, issuing 'recover database' without any analyzing is like database suicide. How do we came to the conclusion that the database needs recovery without not even checking the alert log file?

                        Hope it helps.

                        Thanks.

                            Firstly OP said that he SHUTDOWN database with ABORT option so there need recovery anyway.
                            Does that mean it justifies that the recover database command has to be issued?

                            Instance recovery is preformed by Oracle automatically. Below are extracts from Oracle Documentation

                            How a Database Is Closed During Abnormal Shutdown

                            If a SHUTDOWN ABORT or abnormal termination occurs, then the instance of an open database closes and shuts down the database instantaneously. Oracle Database does not write data in the buffers of the SGA to the data files and redo log files. The subsequent reopening of the database requires instance recovery, which Oracle Database performs automatically.

                            http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16508/startup.htm#CNCPT89047
                            Second even there do not need recovery then again not problem executing above commands and these commands will not destroy database!.
                            The question is not what it will do or will not do. The question is why is there a need to run recover database command. I dont think this is the right apporach.

                              Actually question is that.Yes Instance recovery perform by SMON automatically.But you can issue that manually also.

                                My question still remains as it was before and that is why? Why is there is a need to issue 'Recover Database' command? How can we justify issuing 'Recover Database' without checking for any backups , without not even checking the alert log file and without analyzing what has really happened?

                                (Under sub-heading of (When Oracle Database Performs Instance Recovery))
                                The SMON background process performs instance recovery, applying online redo automatically. No user intervention is required.

                                Issuing commands without any need (when we dont even know if it is required or not) can be dangerous but this is about approach.
