That's because it took DHCP network configuration automatically(Correct me if i am wrong!!).Correct.
Please guide me how I can set these three things(hostname,domainname and IP) permenantly.Please check the steps above, it should be helpful.
Also should I turn its current DHCP IP into static IP before changing hostname and domainname or after it?It does not matter, just make sure you have configured static IP Address and you have proper entry in the hosts file.
So,will making changes to /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network files only be equivalent to supplying hostname,domainname and IP information during installation?You will have to set up a static IP Address as mentioned above (Setup > eth0 > edit an enter the IP Address).
