it is because you haven't included GRIDHOME/bin in PATH..

              - include GRIDHOME/bin in your path or
              - run directly from GRIDHOME/bin e.g /u01/app/grid/bin/crsctl start crs

              Cheers

In Pre Oracle 11gR2 there are seperate init script of each component like
                init.crs init.crsd init.cssd init.evmd

In Oracle 11gR2 only init.ohasd script is the base script which will start all the component.

In CRS is not able to start and it is in intermediate state then you need to stop it forcefully using
                # crsctl stop crs -f and start it again

                try,

                2. Start (startup) the Oracle cluster stack

                su - root

                cd $CRS_HOME/bin (grid home)

                # ./crsctl start crs (must be run on each node)

                # crsctl start crs

                      - Did you run ocrcheck and cluvfy?

                      CRS>./ocrcheck

Did you check the check clusterware?

                      CODE
                      $ORACLE_HOME/product/crs/bin/olsnodes –n

It might be a permission issue, try the CRS reboot as root:

Oracle keeps socket files in /tmp/.oracle and /var/tmp/.oracle. If you remove them while oracle is running, you won't be able to reach CRS. If you bounce CRS, the socket files will be recreated.
Do not remove /tmp/.oracle or /var/tmp/.oracle or its files while Oracle Clusterware is up.

                            hi

i planned to reinstall everything from the first
please aslo suggest me how to copy all (node1)linux files in vmware and use into node2?
i am using the latest version of VMware.
and i am also confiused about NTPD
here is mentioned that shutdown ntpd
and move the ntp.conf to /etc/ntp.conf.oraginal
but when i want to remove the ntpd.pid
it showing me no file or directory does not exist..
here is method please suggest me how to do this?
Either configure NTP, or make sure it is not configured so the Oracle Cluster
                             Time Synchronization Service (ctssd)
can synchronize the times of the RAC nodes. In this case we will deconfigure NTP.

                            # service ntpd stop
Shutting down ntpd:                                        [  OK  ]
                            # chkconfig ntpd off
                            # mv /etc/ntp.conf /etc/ntp.conf.org
                            # rm /var/run/ntpd.pid
please guide me where i can find ntpd.pid file because search for it ,i did not find.
                            maybe i am doing wrong.
how to remove ntpd.pid file from /var/run ?

                              dear Nisha,

you can copy and paste the node1(vmware) folder contents to node2(vmware) folder content in your primary machine(windows)

and you can find the node1.vmx file in the folder node2

edit the line displayName = "NODE1" to
                              displayName = "NODE2"

start up the second machine Node2 change the hostname and network settings

and then start the machine1 NODE1.
