Is your Google broken? Because when I type in "javafx 2 release date" the first hit basically says everything.

I'm not sure Oracle knows either. All the FAQ says is that it will be put in a future release: http://javafx.com/faq/#5

unfortunately ,I don't understand meaning of "while Linux support is planned for a future release of JavaFX".
What is the purpose of the future release?
2.1 or General Availability ?
Which one?

Linux will not be supported in the JavaFX 2.0 GA (General Availability) release. Support for Linux will come in a later GA release

In that case, you've posted it in the wrong place.

Even the devs only occasionally respond to the forums. Management most certainly isn't going hear that.

I am also a little disappointed about the present lack of Linux support, but I don't think it is a result of intentional neglect. It's more a matter of trying to get JavaFX to work on one platform at all before making it work on others. Don't forget that this is just a Beta release.

An Oracle employee has in fact posted a response to this concern right here: http://fxexperience.com/2011/05/is-javafx-2-0-cross-platform/

please give me management telephone number to give my voice to hear (fun)
I do not intend to insult.
don't forget that at the JavaFX script ,Months after publication windows package was supported for Linux .

I'm not satisfied with the reasons.
Why Linux should be supported later than Windows ?

There's no 'management' here.
I do not intend to insult.
Who cares?

One platform was going to be developed before the others. It may as well be the one with the largest user base. Even among devs, Windows is pretty common.
