Gerard is correct. If your machine has a tns entry for that database, type in your database name as defined in the tns entry. That should be good enough. You need not have the whole connect string
use DOUG in that field if tns entry for your database is like below:
DOUG =(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = ISP4400.localdomain)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = TEST92) ))
I did get stumped on this but finally worked.

Put the tnsname.ora file in informatica directory as well.
Informatica look into his own directories for tns infor.
