SUN Blade 6000 CMM's are flooded with AVOCENT MGP5300 messages

Hi,

A Sun Blade 6000 with iLOM Service Processors is being managed by an Avocent MGP5300 (Service Processor management appliance).
The ILOM firmware version is 3.1.33.
The issue is that the iLOM's are being flooded with login and log off event logs and that is causing a problem.

Does anyone know how to how authentication on the Iloms is working and possibly how to disable the authentication successful log triggers?
Are there specific commands to do that?

Thank you very much.

    Hi, you could try:
    Display SEL (System Event Log)
-> show /SP/logs/event/list (Display a list of Oracle ILOM event logs.)
    Clear all System Event logs:
    -> set /SP/logs/event clear=true

    For specific details:
Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) 3.0 Daily Management — CLI Procedures Guide
Scroll, Dismiss, or Clear the Oracle ILOM Event Log List (Page 100)

    hello,

i dont think ilom has this functionality you are asking.

basically what you want is to disable user auditing...

think of it as security feature you cant track logins to your box.

Now what exaclty are you trying to do?
Or where is it that these logs annoy you?

For example on the web UI you can create custom filters to look only for specific things.

i am not familiar with the avocent but it imagine it would have a ipmi interface as well
