You have very old Java.
Current version 1.6 plus updates.
You need install more fresh java.
What OS on your desktop ?
You see very few of our servers have firefox installed.
The server I got the java info from is a solaris 9 box
The other servers that I know that have firefox are RedHat boxes.
Most of are server are running Solaris 10.
Question was - what OS on your desktop.
Generaly Server not used as user workplace.
In any case you need install fresh version of Java.
I am using ssh -X from a VNC session
Ok I installed the latest firefox on a Solaris 10 zone and it works.
