Hi all,

I have created a project in which there is one task of engineering drawing which is out source and we have to pay the fees for the same, but we will not get same from our customer.

Should I create task in project?
What is the procedure to book the expense for the same that reflect in project.

Thanks.

    Hi

The project work-breakdown-structure (WBS) is represented by hierarchy or list of tasks.
The fees you will be paying to the subcontractor should be entered as supplier invoice charging the project and the same task of engineering drawing.

How to book site invoice of a sub contractor?
You have to enter the vendor invoice in Oracle Payables. Note to enter the project, task, type and organization in the invoice Line / distribution. Then run the process PRC: Interface Supplier Costs that will import the cost into Oracle Projects.

    -How to book site expense?
    The same as above.

-How to track a project at the end of project completion?
Look at Project Status Inquiry to track actual costs and compare to project budget.

-How to book cost of project?
Costs of projects may be imported from Oracle Time and Labor, Purchasing, Payables or Inventory. You may also enter Preapproved batches with the expenditures directly to the form in Projects Costing.

-How to track a profit or loss of project?
Look at Project Status Inquiry to track actual costs and compare to project revenue.
That depends on implementing Projects Billing, and actually generating invoices and revenue for the projects.
