    PnP ACPI error at the time  instalation.

      Hi i am using Enterprise-R5-U4-Server-x86_64, while installing on IBM X3400 M3 model its shows following error
      PnP ACPI - Method_name_CRS failure for PnPP0a03 at the time of booting and machine is rebooting after one hours.
      Please tell me the solution to it.

          Dude!
          I don't think you have given enough information to be able to pin point the problem. Please post the relevant content of /var/log/messages regarding this error and also your kernel version (uname -r).

          There might be a kernel device driver upgrade or a Flash BIOS update required for you computer, which you should be able to find at the IBM support page. You can also try to disable by setting ACPI=off at the kernel boot prompt.

            Sir,

            I try to disable ACPI=off at boot promt ,but the macine get restart the afterone hours.

            The kernel version installed is 2.6.18.164.el5xen

            I also try to find out flash bios from IBM Sites mention. but i could not able to get exact one. Kindly suggest me once again.

              Have you tried this?

              If the problem is periodic it may also indicate a hardware problem, like bad memory. You might want to try to remove memory or swap memory bank around to see if that makes any difference. Otherwise I still suggest to find a flash bios upgrade or suitable kernel device driver if appropriate.
