Moderator advice: Please read the announcements at the top of the forum listing and the forums FAQ linked from every page. They are there for a purpose.
Then edit your post and format the code correctly.
What changed is that java.net.URI was obviously corrected to comply with its Javadoc specificatiion, which states 'The multi-argument constructors quote illegal characters as required by the components in which they appear. The percent character ('%') is always quoted by these constructors. Any other characters are preserved'.
Thanks for your reply.
Is there anyway I can get back the previous behavior? I am dealing with some legacy code where I cannot modify the original string that is used to construct the URI.
Please let me know.
