    buffer audio from speaker

    JoshGtz
Hi, I want to know if it’s possible to get the audio buffer from a speaker using javasound, what I want to do is to grab all the audio playing on a specific speaker (audio created from another windows aplication) and then send that audio on a RTP session.

      Thanks.

It's not possible to get an audio buffer from a speaker using JavaSound.

You can, however, get the output of the sound card using JavaSound, assuming that the sound card has a loopback interface.

On windows 7, I have to activate the “Stereo Mix” (loopback interface) on the control panel in order to be able to use it, once I do that, I can get the audio from windows just like a regular microphone. Is that the only way to do it? Or there is a more direct way to do this with java sound, without having to use the control panel of windows?
