The port in your URL is a bit strange, where is it coming from ?
It is by default 8000.
Actually I wanted to use port 9000 but it is being used for some other VM on VM server. So I specified during PS App PIA configuration that I wanted to use 9000 and I have set up firewall rule that routes any requests to http://8*.***.**.**:9007/ps/signon.html to be routed to 9000 internally.
When I was configuring the App PIA VM the suggested port for use on the config questions was 9000 in square brackets. I am not sure if I have done the correct thing here? Can we use a different port than 8000 for PS VM template? If yes then how can I make it work for the VM template?
Ideally I would like to use 9007 port which is free for my VM server right now.
9000 is the default port of JSL of the AppServer.1 person found this helpful
8000 is the default port of the http server on your webserver.
I do not see how the ports of your VM server (the host) is coming to play here. AppServer/PIA template (I mean the virtual machine) is independant and use its own ports range like a new machine with its own ip address.
Thanks for your help. I finally found the problem. The firewall router was did not have the proper rules to access the environment on the VM server. It works fine now.
