ALWAYS provide the following information in a question:
<li>Full APEX version
<li>Full DB version and edition
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener)
I have a select list column in my report region. i tried to decrease the size of column field,but i cant decrease.Which means this is a tabular form, NOT a report. This distinction must always be made explicit (as should the distinction between standard and interactive reports). When discussing a tabular form, always indicate whether it was created using a wizard with generated column items, validations and MRU processing, or created manually using <tt>apex_item</tt> API items and custom validations and processing (or some other combination of these possibilities).
It's not at all clear what you are actually doing. In such cases reproducing the problem on apex.oracle.com is the recommended course of action.

I did not tell you to go in column attributes.
Edit your select list items then
Go To Element Attributes,
under Element attributes there is an option HTML Form Element Attributes
and then put style=width:100px;
First read it carefully,
I have a select list column in my report region.
indicating that this is a column in a tabular form, not a page item, and that therefore there are indeed no Element attributes or HTML Form Element Attributes.
We're still waiting for the OP to provide information about this tabular form in order to determine the appropriate course of action.
i have done the above steps but no changes in it..still it remains...
Edit your select list items then Go To Element Attributes, under Element attributes there is an option HTML Form Element Attributes and then put style=width:100px;
i have created the report using apex items....
thanks in advance...
