It is possible to store MS Office 2007 .docx file into Content DB but whenever I try to open the stored .docx file, error occurs.
Environments are as follows.
- Content DB 10.2.10.12(OAS 10.1.2.0.2)
- Database 10.20.4

    Hi,

CDB doesn't have a list of supported mime-types that can be stored. It can store all type of docs in the repository.

When you say error, what exactly do you mean? What kind of error are you getting and where?

What are you planning to do with the Office 2007 docs?

In order to get them indexed for full text search, there are additional steps necessary in the underlying Oracle Text product.
In order to get the correct items displayed in the CDB WebUI, there are additional configuration steps required.
You might also want to create new Formats in CDB to support the XML based office formats, which is most likely what you are asking for. Otherwise they will result in the repository as simple binary files and your client might not recognize the document type and which application to open.

Please let me know the details so I can help further.

    Regards,
    Frank
