The easiest way is to use the printmgr command, which is a GUI. Othervise you can add it using lpadmin, the syntax of which i don't recall at heart, but i think there are some useful examples in the manpages or in the forum.
use lpadmin -p <printer name/IP> -s <print server name/IP> -D "description"
that's Solaris 10, it should work in 9 as well AFAIK.
