Failover options when connecting from OEG to an Oracle database

I'm trying to figure out what the options are for failover when connecting from OEG (via external database connection) to an Oracle database. I don't see any features within the Gateway to support database connection failover.
I have the same question

The OEG used JDBC for connecting and querying databases. For Oracle failure you specify the failure over hosts in the JDBC URL, further info in link below or in Oracle documentation:
