Generalised naming in data store
Oct 31, 2011 12:09 PM
We are using text and csv files as odi data source to load to target systems. The file name comes xxx_yyyy_abcd_015C_20111012000001.txt
Every time a new file comes, we need to update source data store manually. I would like to use wild card naming convention like:xxx_yyyy_abcd_015C_*.txt.
I tried to use it and I am getting the error. Is there a way that we can use a generic naming convention, so that I no need to change it manually.

When you create the data service in the wizard, do not specify a filename. The resulting read function will take a 'filename' argument.
If you need to translate a wild card into a sequence of file names, you'll need to write a Java Function to do that.
