I've recently tried installing Solaris 11 on a Dell e1405 in a triple boot. While it worked out eventually, it tried installing the OS on the Linux Swap partition. I suppose that's understandable as fdisk suggests that the Linux Swap partition type is also a Solaris partition type.
But to complete the installation, I had to change the partition type to something null, and that's at best annoying.
In addition, the second Solaris partition seems to confuse the installation program. A second Solaris2 partition is rejected with the "There must be only one Solaris partition" message. In contrast, the Linux Swap / Solaris partition is accepted in concert with a Solaris 2 partition.
