    JavaMail API

Looking for information regarding possible bugs withJavaMail API

      Mail is being rejected,

And the reason appears to be a call for the machine name for use in the Message-ID field for the email. The problem appears to be with how windows stores the machine name separate from the domain. It’s not stored as a FQDN ..causing rejected mail.

      any input appreciated.

          Need more information...

What's rejecting the message? Your mail server? What error or exception are you getting?

What version of JavaMail are you using?

You can override the local hostname returned by InternetAddress.getLocalAddress,
see the javadocs for that method.

You can also override the entire Message-ID algorithm by providing your own subclass
          of MimeMessage.
