AFAIK, you don't need to specify the channel name same as your user name.
For this to work,
- your user (not role) must exist/show on Weblogic Server (in your case it's coming from AD), I assume you know that AIA doesn't support roles yet in notifications
- verify that your username doesn't have the mail attribute set on Weblogic server, if this is set on weblogic server you can't delete it from UI Prefs
- set the username in AIA Error Notification tab in AIA console
