I want to buy a gsm modem, i want to program it as well through comm. API.
Before buying i want to know one thing,
"Do every modem support java programming or only few?"
So could you please anyone help me in this regard.

The question is meaningless. No modems support Java programming, but they all support I/O via a serial port. Any programming language that can do that, which includes Java with the Java Comm API, can therefore control a modem.
