PDF export results not includes all rows

My report (in OBIEE 11.1.1.5) presents table with 1000 rows.
I export it to PDF and got only 276 rows.

The instanceconfig.xml contains the following line for both table and pivot table:
+<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>10000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>+

What is the problem?

    Try out below solutions

    Applies to:
    Business Intelligence Reporting and Publishing - Version: 10.1.3.4.1 [1900] and later [Release: 10g and later ]
    Information in this document applies to any platform.

    Symptoms

    When doing data export to pdf or excel or csv, only 500 rows are exported even though Obiee11g settings is set to 2500. You expect all sets of rows will be exported will be exported in format of selection.

    Cause

    Exporting 500 row is correct behavior as export is performed according to default settings in intanceconfig.xml file, this is documented in BIEE 11g stadard documentation

    Oracle® Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
    11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
    Part Number E10544-01

    Paging Buttons

    These buttons are available only when editing or working with tables and pivot tables.

    When a table or pivot table includes a large number of rows, a set of buttons can be displayed under the view. You can use the following buttons to page through the rows in the view:

    •First 25 Rows — Displays the first 25 rows of data for the view. The number that is used for the First, Previous, and Next buttons is specified by the Rows per Page field in the "Table Properties dialog: Style tab".

    •Previous 25 Rows — Displays the previous 25 rows of data for the view.

    •Next 25 Rows — Displays the next 25 rows of data for the view.

    •Display maximum (500) rows per page — Allows you to display as many as the maximum number of rows per page at one time temporarily. The default is 500. The administrator can specify a different maximum value that is displayed on the tooltip for the button using the MaxVisibleRows element in the configuration file.

    Solution
    To implement the solution, please do:

    1. Change instanceconfig.xml file in <biee11g_install>\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1 as following
    <Views>
    <Pivot>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>75</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>2500</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DisableAutoPreview>false</DisableAutoPreview>
    <MaxVisibleColumns>5000</MaxVisibleColumns>
    <MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
    <MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>

    </Pivot>
    <Table>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>75</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>2500</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    <MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
    <MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>

    </Table>
    </Views>

    3. Note the new elements added are the following to both <Pivot> and <Table>, the Pivot part controls Pivot view, and Table part controls Table View, my testing was done with Table View.
    <MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
    <MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>

    4. Restart Presentation Server from EM, then run your request, do pdf export to verify.

    Here is my instanceconfig.xml:

    <Views>
    <Pivot>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>100</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>10000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DisableAutoPreview>false</DisableAutoPreview>
    <MaxVisibleColumns>1000000</MaxVisibleColumns>
    <MaxVisibleSections>1000000</MaxVisibleSections>

    <MaxVisiblePages>1000000</MaxVisiblePages>
    <MaxVisibleRows>100000000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <DefaultRowsDisplayed>10000000</DefaultRowsDisplayed>
    <MaxCells>1000000000</MaxCells>
    </Pivot>
    <Table>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>100</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>10000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    <MaxVisibleRows>100000000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <MaxVisibleSections>1000000</MaxVisibleSections>
    <MaxCells>1000000000</MaxCells>
    <MaxVisiblePages>5000</MaxVisiblePages>
    <DefaultRowsDisplayed>1000</DefaultRowsDisplayed>
    </Table>
    </Views>

    Note that all my reports present 1000 rows tables.
    I've noticed that for some reports I got in the PDF 300 rows and for some reports I got 400 rows.

    Is there any other limitation beside DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload?
    Maybe enlarging the timeout on the exporting process?
    what else can be reason for such behavior?

    We had the same problem but with excel downloads and delivery via Agents. We updated the instanceconfig.xml as follows

    <Pivot>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>2500</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>15000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    <!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
    <DisableAutoPreview>false</DisableAutoPreview>
    <DefaultRowsDisplayed>500</DefaultRowsDisplayed>
    <MaxVisibleColumns>300</MaxVisibleColumns>
    <MaxVisiblePages>1000</MaxVisiblePages>
    <MaxVisibleRows>65000</MaxVisibleRows>
    <MaxVisibleSections>30</MaxVisibleSections>
    <MaxCells>500000</MaxCells>
    </Pivot>

    It seems that we have the same parameters configured - My config file has even higher values, and still my download PDF cannot display all rows.

    Navigate to EM-Coreapplication-Performance

    Check if this setting
    Maximum Number of Rows Per Page to Include

    (Use this box to specify the number of rows per page to include in deliveries sent via Delivers agents. The default value is 75. Reducing the maximum number of rows in delivered content can improve performance by reducing the system resources required to process these agents)

    Change this value to 2500 and see if it works..

    1. Navigate to <BIHome>\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIJavaHostComponent\coreapplication_obijh1\

    2. Open config.xml file in an editor and search for the below lines
    <XMLP> <InputStreamLimitInKB>8192</InputStreamLimitInKB>
    <ReadRequestBeforeProcessing>true</ReadRequestBeforeProcessing> </XMLP>
    3. The default size is 8 MB, you can increase to the size you want. If you want to set unlimited, then replace 8192 with 0 (zero) but it’s not recommended.

    4. Restart BI Services.

    I have just added this in my blog, you can have a look at it.
