Oracle Virtual Desktop Client (OVDC) 3 on SliTaz Distro error

Hi,

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask. Please advise if there is a more appropriate forum.

I am running SliTaz off a USB stick and trying to open OVDC.

The install appears to go as expected, but when I select OVDC from the Internet menu, nothing happens.

When I try to run OVDC from Xterm, I get the following:

root@slitaz:/opt/ovdc# sh vdc
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
/opt/ovdc/libvdc.so: libpcsclite.so.1: cannot open shared object file:

root@slitaz:/opt/ovdc#

Can you offer any advice?

Thank you.

    Do you use Ubuntu?

Ubuntu has changed his folder structure from /lib to /lib32 and /lib64 to seperate between 32 bit and 64 bit Libraries.
So the Error occurs because of ovdc looks in /lib for libpcsclite.so.1 but it is now located in /lib32.

you can make a symbolic link to /lib with:

    sudo ln -s /lib32/libpcsclite.so.1 /lib/

    This works for me.

    No.
    They are not.
Go back and read the initial post:

    Then glance at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SliTaz

    .
Glance again at the original post, the username handle and its post count, and the date of that post.
You resurrected an abandoned post and though your information is a bit interesting, it wasn't a valid response to what they were experiencing. The likely "problem" was that they were not running an installed OS but were using a live-boot environment.
We'll never know. They never returned to the forums.
