Can anybody tell us how to write a "simple" PL/SQL to write to a Queue.?
Feb 9, 2012 6:13 AM
We want to perform a relatively simple task. We want to:
a. create an "Oracle Queue"
b. Write an image into that queue
c. In another DB, we read this queue
d. and get the image.
I went through lots of Oracle documentation about queuing and also examples
Unfortunately even the examples are horrendously difficult to grasp and also very lengthy.
We would be very grateful if anybody could provide us with code to do the above.
Thanks in advance
I have the same question

There is an example in the 11g 2Day+ Data Replication and Integration manual (chapter 9) using the highlevel package dbms_streams_adm
The AQ manual also has examples in chapter 10 (10.2 manual) http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14257/aq_opers.htm#i1005596
