I have problems downloading from Oracle's servers when I work on Linux (Debian+Iceweasel); everything seems to start out OK, but after a short time the estimated download time goes up to something like several days and eventually it just stalls. The absurd thing is that it works from Windows; clearly somebody in the organisation has not tested this against Linux, or so it seems.
Is this a new policy on Oracle's behalf - that web services require Windows? I have seen the same problem when I try to access support.oracle.com: it just stops dead on Linux, but it works on Windows (but only from Internet Explorer). What is going on here?
