What is the difference between "single" and "multi" ?

When I run "put" or other api to operatw data, and run "show perf" in admin mode, there are "single" and "multi" in the "Op Type" column, What does it mean ? and When does "single" happen and when does "multi" happen ?

This refers to a single key operation per API call (put, get, delete, etc) or multiple key operations per API call (execute, multiGet, multiDelete, etc).
