Thanks. I have already looked into this example. I need to save the values in the table on closing the popup and return to the main page and also need to refresh the main page to show the updated values at the same time. Is there any other way to solve this?
Not sure how you created your modal window.1 person found this helpful
If your modal window is based on "jquery". Please check the following link.It might help you
I didn't create anything, but I was asked to fix the issue. The modal window is not based on jquery. There are two simple pages. The parent page has a button called 'Add Comment' with a interactive report on it. Hitting on 'Add Comment' button opens a differnt popup page for users to enter the comments. When they close the popup, there is a procedure to submit the page values to the table and a branch to return to the main page but doesn't refresh the main page. The main page also has a report based on the same table. To see the updated/inserted values, they need to refresh the parent page.
Thanks. I got a way how to handle this. It's working great now.
Here what I did:
On the parent Page- HTML header
window.open("f?p=&APP_ID.:16:&SESSION.::NO::P16_BUGS_ID:&P8_ID.", "name", "height=700,width=900");
Action: Redirect to URL
On child page: Page Header
<base target="_self" />
