      Hi All,

I am entirely new to the sun storage systems.

Now in our site they were planning to upgrade the 6140 with New server under LINUX.

For that I need to provide them the precautionary actions need to be taken.

So kindly help me on this .

The current firmware version is 07.60.18.10

The current HDD firm ware version is 3192.

But for one particular HDD it is showing as 3292.

Now my problem is if i want to upgrade the firmware what and all the actions I need to taken care and which is the suitable firmware version for this particular storage .

      THANKS in advance........

I believe you will need an MOS account that is linked to a CSI that is related to an active Oracle support contract for the 6140.

If your company does not have an active Oracle support contract you will not be able to download the firmware.

If your MOS account is not linked to the correct CSI you will not have the needed access.

The solution for this particular problem is to get the access for the link mention.

                  Yes. That is correct.
You need to buy a service contract that gets you login credentials to Oracle Technical Support and that will get you login credentials to the support link that was given in the earlier reply in this forum thread.
