      Hi Guys,

      I just installed new oracle client 11g, when i try to connect to database using the following connection string:

      strCon = "Driver={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle}; " & _
           "CONNECTSTRING=(DESCRIPTION=" & _
           "(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)" & _
           "(HOST=DDHOST123)(PORT=1530))" & _
           "(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=MYSIT))); uid=myuser;pwd=Nop4ssw0rd;"

      I get the following error:
      [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

      I looked through google and it keep mentioning to check listeners and if they are running, how do i check, i dont know where they are located
