a small system consisting of a master and a slave using Oracle VDI 3.3.2 on Solaris 10 / IA64 with embedded MySQL shows different user account data for master and slave.
Because we don't have a central user directory creating accounts is done in three steps:
1. adding a token to SRSS: pfexec utuser -a "Payflex.XXX,,,login,"
2. removing the username associated with the token: pfexec utuser -e "Payflex.XXX,,,,First Last"
3. adding the account to VDI (via the web interface)
This works when only a master and no slave is configured. However when a slave is added the changes from the second step never make it to the master (it seems not to matter if the command from step 2 is executed on the master or on the slave). Thus VDI shows a login dialog instead of connecting the user with his desktop.
Here's what the user entries on master and slave look like (the actual user name and the Payflex ID were replaced):
$ utuser -p Payflex.XXX
User Name =
Other Info = First Last
Server Name =
Server Port = 0
Logical Token = user.1333032571-2914
User Created = 03/29/2012 16:49:31
Session Type = default
