We have to migrate our DB to another server. For this purpose, we are planning to use Data Guard and create a physical standby database with Active Data Guard. On the day of the migration we will switch over to the Standby Database.
The DB to be migrated is the target database for streams replication. We are replicating about 200 plus tables into this database using streams replication.
All the databases are Oracle 11gR2.
Can we create a physical standby database where the source DB has some tables getting replicated using streams Replication ? Due to the lack of hardware resources I can't try this out in any of our environments.
Any additional information that might be relevant would be greatly appreciated.

From logical point of view - why not? It really does not matter by what means data has been changed, by end-user app, or by Streams, or by a job ... These changes will go to Redo Log, and then can be transferred by DG to a physical standby.
