    What is happening to auto_lexer?

    HU
I was looking for documentation about auto_lexer, but could find it in:
      Oracle® Text Reference
      11g Release 2 (11.2)
      E24436-01
      August 2011

I then connected to an older computer with an older version of the documentation, where I found it:
      Oracle® Text Reference
      11g Release 2 (11.2)
      E10944-01
      July 2009

(Same with Text Developers Guide and the Master Index)

      Is this intentional?
      Is auto_lexer being deprecated?

AUTO_LEXER is disabled in release 11.2.0.3. This is due to pending changes in the next major release of Oracle. AUTO_LEXER will return in that release, but with a slightly different feature set and list of supported languages.

If you need to use AUTO_LEXER in 11.2.0.3 for backward-compatibility reasons, you MUST raise an SR with support. They will collect information on your usage of AUTO_LEXER in order to help you prepare (if necessary) for the changes coming in the next release, and will let you know how to re-enable the feature.

Ok, thanks - I just wanted to experiment with it
