I am trying to install Peoplesoft HCM 9.1 / Oracle 11g on windows 7 64-bit platform ( laptop).
So far, I installed the loopback adapter and then installed Oracle 11g database enterprose version successfully. I can login to the database via SQL Developer.
I have couple of questions...
1. Since I am installing everything on the same m/c , will i still need to install oracle client?
2. Do I need both 32 bit and 64 bit client ?NO
It's a quiet old thread, but needs to make the truth.
You're on Windows 64-bit, your database runs on Oracle 64-bit. Eventhough your Peoplesoft installation sit on the same server, you'll need an Oracle client because Peoplesoft is not a trully 64-bit client on Windows, it really needs 32-bit librairies. So, you should arrange an new ORACLE_HOME hosting the 32-bit client librairies.
