I'm trying to install on a RHEL 5.6 linux a oracle 10g version I have downloaded from oracle web site : 10201_database_linux_x86_64.cpio file (about 800 Mo)
When I execute the command : "cpio -idmv 10201_database_linux_x86_64.cpio", my terminal is waiting for the command termination ... that never happens (I'm waiting 12 hours). Is it normal ?
Is there possible to download a not cpio archive ?
thanks for your help
So, now I have configured my machine as required in the documentation.
The prerequisites says RHEL 4.0 or later
I launch the ./runInstaller that fails and answers : redhat-4 is required.
Effectively my os is RHEL 5.6 (as I understand "as later than 4.0" !).
Anyway, when I'm looking at the web page to downloads oracle products : no redhat version is required : I select : 10201_database_ linux_x86_64.cpio.gz
Where may I download a 10g version for RHEL 5.0 ?
