    IO virtualization issue

I am testing Solaris 11 on an HP xw8600 workstation. Sine I intend to use VirtualBox, I have enabled "Intel virtualization technology" (should be VT-x) in the system BIOS.
However, after also enabling "Intel IO virtualization" (should be identical to VT-d), the system froze during the first login attempt, and a hard reset (power cycle) was necessary to bring it up again. In /var/adm/messages there were indications of an rpool corruption (errors could be cleared afterwards by a ZFS scrub), which must have occurred shortly before the freeze. No virtual machine was running at that time.

Is Solaris 11 known to have problems with VT-d enabled on the host? Or should this option not be used together with VT-x?

      Best regards,
