Typically this happens when the installer is corrupt, I would compare the md5 check sum, and make sure when transfering from windows to unix, that the transfer is made in binary mode.1 person found this helpful
This usually indicates that the download itself is corrupt, especially since the same thing is happening on multiple machines. Usually it can be solved by downloading the package again.
As a side note, MDEX 6.2.1 is part of the Guided Search package, not Information Discovery (just for future reference) so you might get more responses for this version by posting on the other forum.
I thought the installation file itself is corrupt, not the installer file. after i transfered sh installer file from one of the server using sftp directly to new server, it works.
Let us know if this issue persists, as I recall specific library versions on the machine causing problems in the past, and am happy to dig into it further.
